Villa Rundle – Lighting restoration
Villa Rundle was built under the governorship of Sir Leslie Rundle for the enjoyment of the Gozitan people and opened in 1914.
Villa Rundle Garden in the heart of Victoria was reopened by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi after an extensive rehabilitation project. Furthermore, Villa Rundle will be a living showcase in Gozo. It is a place where families can seek peace and recreation and tranquillity, and an ideal environment for tourists, where cultural activities can be put up.
Works contributing to Villa Rundle’s successful restoration include: landscaping at the entrances and the installation of a new lighting system, courtesy of Calleja Ltd. Moreover, benches and new ancillary facilities to complement the new look will be added to these historic gardens.
